We do not charge our clients a fee for the advice we provide. Instead, we receive a commission from the insurance provider directly should you decide to proceed with a policy.
Our advice is personalised and bespoke to every individual client we deal with. Your dedicated consultant will go through a detailed fact find with you to establish your requirements before providing you with their recommendations/advice based on your personal circumstances. If you are happy to proceed, the advisor will take care of the application process for you with minimal paperwork for you to have to fill out. You will also receive a letter of suitability outlining the advice provided.
Your insurance policies should be reviewed upon any changes in circumstances, for example finances, occupation, health or marital status. As part of our service, our advisors will proactively review your policies and advise if any changes are required. If you are unsure whether a change in circumstances needs to be disclosed within your insurance policy, please get in touch and we will be glad to clarify.
Yes, you can get insurance if you have medical issues, but your options and premiums may vary based on the severity of your condition. Our advisors will conduct a 'whole of market' search to give you the best chance of success and find you the best deal on the market for your personal circumstances.
Yes, it is common practice to 'shop around' for better policies every so often. However it is important that you consider any changes in circumstances, including health, and how this may affect premiums on a new policy. Providing you have your existing policy details to hand, our advisors will be able to clarify the terms and conditions of cancelling your existing policy should you require assistance.
The payouts from insurance policies are generally exempt from income tax liability, the only tax you will need to consider is inheritance tax. You can complete a trust form to ensure that your payout is also exempt from inheritance tax.
A trust is a legal arrangement that leaves your assets, including your life insurance policy, in the hands of a trusted person or trusted people (usually family members or close friends). These people - aptly named the ‘trustees’ - look after those assets, including your policy when you pass away and ensure that any payout is divided out between your loved ones (your beneficiaries) at the appropriate time, according to your wishes. The benefits of using a trust include: payouts may not be subject to inheritance tax, quicker & easier access to funds, avoid probate, protection against creditors or debt left by your estate.
